Russell was a fantastic instructor. I had failed twice before I came to Russell. He got me to test standard in a matter of weeks and feel exceptionally confident on the road. My new driving license will allow me to get a much better job than I have now so my career can go from strength to strength. For that reason I am eternally grateful to Russell for his efforts, and recommend him in the highest possible regard to any future students. Great car to learn in as well. I wish him and his family all the very best for the future.

Blackpool driving school have been brilliant with me throughout my time learning to drive, their driving instructors are brilliant!! A very helpful company with patient and reassuring instructors. I had Lorna Cuddy when I started and she was fabulous she had lots of confidence in me which was very helpful for me, she was very patient and kind and very accommodating. When it came to my test date unfortunately Lorna wasn’t available so she gave me advice and the BDS number and they forwarded me to Russell Wheeler, he was absolutely amazing with me straight away helped me keep up my confidence and remain calm on the weeks coming up to my test he was very patient and kind and again very assuring to make sure my nerves didn’t get the better of me! He was so helpful. I’m so impressed with both instructors and the company, I couldn’t have received better guidance!

My driving instructor was Russell and he was absolutely brilliant with getting me test ready, explained things very well and also some good reference points to use too. Would highly recommend BDS as a company and Russell as the instructor.

Very good service - taught me everything I needed to know for my practical driving test and theory driving test, instructor was also patient whenever I stalled and was always encouraging.

Don’t normally leave reviews but BDS have treated me so well. From magician Donna in the office who has continuously been very helpful with sorting lessons and test dates, to Cindy on my intense course putting up with me for hours on end, and the mighty Russell who got me over the finish line. I would 100% recommend BDS for learning to drive.🏎️🏎️🏎️

Excellent instructors! Russell Wheeler is a phenomenal driving instructor. Very patient , accommodating and knowledgeable. The school has been very proactive in finding test slots. A very pleasant experience and high recommended!!!

Russel has been an incredible instructor. He was incredibly patient with me during my lessons and that translated to me passing my test first time!

I began my driving lessons with Russell Wheeler at the back end of 2023, at that point I’d only had very limited experience practicing in friends cars and that was years ago. He took me from a nervous wreck of a driver who could barely work a clutch to being a competent confident driver who now has no issues with the clutch. I passed earlier this month after over a year of lessons that were interrupted by family bereavements and other personal issues and Russell was patient and compassionate throughout. I cannot recommend him enough, an amazing instructor 10/10!
